- [Timelapse Interval Calculator](https://resources.brambakker.net/timelapse-interval-calculator/): Timelapse Photo Interval Calculator Clip Length Hours Minutes Seconds Event Duration Hours Minutes Seconds Frame Rate & Image Size Frames per Second Image Size (MB) Results Shooting Interval: Number of Photos: Total Memory Usage: Reset (r) Save Copy Link (c) Download Settings (.txt) How It Works This tool helps you determine the ideal shooting interval for a timelapse based on the total duration of the event and the desired clip length. Here’s the math behind it: Clip Length: Total duration of your final timelapse video Event Duration: The real-time duration the event takes place Frames per Second (FPS): Determines how smooth your final video looks Image Size: Estimated file size per photo in megabytes We calculate the total number of frames by multiplying clip length in seconds by FPS. Then, the interval between photos is calculated by dividing the event duration in seconds by the total number of frames. Storage usage is based on the number of photos and image size Total_frames = clip_length_seconds × fpsInterval = event_duration_seconds ÷ total_framesStorage_usage = total_frames × image_size_per_photo Suggestions? Got any ideas, problems or feedback? I’d love to hear it! Feel free to reach out via Discord or email.
